Please join the Facebook Group Mountain View Volunteers. Into each iris garden a little rain must fall, and fertilizer, and sunshine, and sweat! We have areas to adopt. If you belong to a student organization, athletic team, rodeo team, flower or gardening club, please adopt a garden area in our lovely community.

We are planning our 6TH iris festival to be held May 3-4, 2024. We invite you to see iris blooms on display and purchase iris. Proceeds go to the Mountain View Iris Festival, a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation in the State of Arkansas.

GIFTS OF IRIS FROM FAR AND WIDE

In 2016, when donations of iris were shipped to Mountain View from iris growers, the work began! We planted iris around our Stone County Courthouse, City Hall, and on our city streets. Without the support and encouragement of county and city officials, businesses, and volunteers, we would be "frazzled" and our goals would not be realized! A big "Thank You" to our supporters!

MUCH MORE WORK TO BE DONE!

We will be planting many more iris rhizomes this year, and we will be planning festival activities for visitors and residents. We need volunteers to plant iris and maintain the gardens. We need volunteers to serve as committee members. We will ask folks to volunteer to be iris festival hosts. Mountain View residents always welcome visitors to share in good times!
