IRIS FESTIVAL MAY 3-4, 2019

GIFTS OF IRIS FROM FAR AND WIDE

When donations of many varieties of iris were shipped to Mountain View from iris growers, the work began!  We planted iris around our Stone County Courthouse and on our city streets.  Without the support and encouragement of county and city officials, businesses, and volunteers, we would be "frazzled" and our goals would not be realized! A big "Thank You" to our supporters!

MUCH MORE WORK TO BE DONE!

We will be planting many more iris rhyzomes this year, and we will be planning festival activities for visitors and residents.  We need volunteers to plant iris and maintain the gardens.  We need volunteers to serve as committee members.  We will ask folks to volunteer to be iris festival hosts.  Mountain View residents always welcome visitors to share in good times!

Garden Areas for Adoption

Into each iris garden a little rain must fall, and fertilizer, and sunshine, and sweat! We have areas to adopt.  If you belong to a student organization, athletic team, rodeo team, flower or gardening club, please adopt a garden area in our lovely community.

Be an Iris Garden Tour Guide

Please consider being a tour guide.  Assist visitors as they tour various iris gardens in the community.

Assist visitors during Mountain View's iris show!

We are planning  our second iris show.  We invite you to see iris blooms on display , purchase or place an order if you wish to purchase irises for future planting.  All proceeds go to the Mountain View Iris Festival, a non-profit 501(c)3  corporation in the State of Arkansas.
